Corrosion organizations directory
A directory of the societies, federations, institutes and university research groups advancing corrosion science worldwide — including Colombia and across Latin America.
Who is fighting corrosion
Corrosion is a global problem met by a global community. This directory maps the professional societies, standards bodies, federations and university research groups working to understand and prevent corrosion — from international umbrella organizations to national institutes and laboratories.
We pay particular attention to Latin America, including the corrosion research groups of the Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia. Many of these organizations gather at events listed in the global directory at Corrosion Congress.
Grouped by region. Each card links to the organization's official site.

About the directory
What are the main international corrosion organizations?
The largest are the World Corrosion Organization (WCO), AMPP (the merger of NACE and SSPC), and the European Federation of Corrosion (EFC), alongside standards bodies like ISO/TC 156 and ASTM G01.
Which corrosion organizations are there in Colombia?
Colombia has strong groups including CIDEMAT and the Grupo de Corrosión y Protección at the Universidad de Antioquia, the Grupo de Investigaciones en Corrosión at UIS, and the Corporación para la Investigación de la Corrosión (CIC) in Santander.
How can I get involved?
Most societies welcome members, students and industry partners. Start with the body for your country or region, or attend a corrosion conference to meet the community in person.
